M.B.B.S, F.R.A.C.G.P

Through high school, I realised I enjoyed helping my friends and classmates with understanding their school work – this lead me to consider health care as a career, and my parents quickly pointed me in the direction of studying medicine!

I graduated from Monash University in 1996. Through my subsequent General Practice training years, I enjoyed a wide range of experience – from working in inner city environments, through to rural health care provision in Foster in South Gippsland, to Aboriginal Health care provision in Katherine and Darwin and surrounds.

I began working at Health On Collins in March 2004. I am approaching my 20 year anniversary!

In the past I have also completed emergency department work through Dandenong Hospital and The Women’s Hospital, and a few years of medical undergraduate tutoring through University of Melbourne.

Currently I also work in a range of other areas: Community Health – providing healthcare to the most disadvantaged people living in Melbourne’s inner north-western areas; GP Registrar tutoring and lecturing through GP Academy (where I get to teach up to 600 GP trainees per year!) and monthly surgical assisting.

I believe in providing personalised care to my patients, and building a strong relationship over the years. I aim to always remain a Specialist in General Practice – that means I try to stay up to date in ALL areas of general health care, from acute presentations, to chronic conditions, both physical and psychological. So no matter what issues you face, I strive to be your first point of call.
