Dr Jennifer Anderson

M.B.B.S., D.R.A.N.Z.C.O.G, F.R.A.C.G.P, M.F.M(clin).

After graduating from The University of Melbourne and completing my internship in Shepparton I entered the RACGP GP training program, knowing this was the area of medicine I wanted to pursue. To further my skills I completed my Diploma of Obstetrics (DRANZCOG) at The Royal Women’s Hospital and have a certificate in Reproductive Health as well as a Masters in Family Medicine and a Diploma in Child Health.

After working in regional Victoria and the outer suburbs of Melbourne, I then spent from 2001 to 2004 working in General Practice in England before joining The Midtown Medical Clinic of Healthcare on Collins in early 2005.
Following a short stint of working in the country, when I relocated to the Macedon Ranges, I returned to clinical practice at The Midtown Medical Clinic in July 2012.

Outside of my work in General Practice I have also worked for 11 years at the Royal Children’s Hospital as their General Practice Liaison officer.
In my community I am an elected representative of my local council, have served previously as the Mayor, and I am on the Board of the Municipal Association of Victoria (MAV). This may mean that my availability varies, depending upon my other commitments.

I am passionate about reducing our impact on the environment and having good processes in place wherever and whenever possible. I believe that a co-ordinated whole of life approach to health care must consider the influences of work, relationships, diet and physical activity on both the physical and mental health of all.

Although I have to travel 2 hours to come to work at Healthcare on Collins, I forget about the travel once I walk in the door, surrounded by such a beautiful team of people who really care for those we see.

In my spare time I enjoy travel, cycling, hiking, cooking and gardening.
