Dr Howard Goldenberg
Dr Howard Goldenberg
MBBS, FRACGP.
At Monash Medical School I was taught the discipline of Community and Preventative Medicine. Monash Medical School pioneered the placement of its students for a term in General Practice where I came to love the Medicine of Family, Obstetrics, Paediatrics and Mental Health. I trained in Obstetrics, then turned to my passion, General Practice.
Since entering General Practice in 1972, I have worked in country towns, from Diamond Creek (29 years) to Halls Creek, in remote Aboriginal communities, in villages all around Australia, in Christmas Island Detention Centre, in the gaol in Alice Springs and at nights remotely from my study as District Medical Officer for Central Australia. For the past 10 years I have worked 15 hours a week in the GP clinic at The Royal Children’s Hospital.
In 2000 I joined Midtown Medical Clinic of Healthcare on Collins. Having worked in over sixty different practices around the country I can honestly say that I am proud to find myself here, working in by far the finest clinic I have known.
I have seen how my colleagues, from the GP’s to the allied health clinicians, to the reception and management staff, have gained and maintained the loyalty of thousands who attend Midtown Medical Clinic.
