Basel is excited to be joining the team at The Melbourne Sports Medicine Centre after graduating from The University of Western Sydney with a Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine in 2019.

Basel brings a wealth of knowledge and passion, with a special interest in preventing lower limb injuries and biomechanical analysis. He strives to remain in touch with the latest research by reading articles and attending podiatric workshops in order to provide an evidence-based outcome for his patients. Basel also has a part-time role in an orthotic laboratory, where he is able to further his orthotic knowledge and consult regularly with other podiatrists.

Personal Sporting Experience:

Basel has a keen interest in sports, health and fitness. Originally from Sydney, Basel naturally has a particular interest in Australian rugby, and soccer. He’s yet to pick an AFL team, but enjoys watching it on telly! Basel enjoys staying fit with his indoor soccer team, learning mixed martial arts and spending time outdoors training or hiking.
