Sports Medicine Doctors

The Melbourne Sports Medicine Centre is proud to have many of Melbourne's most experienced Sports Medicine Doctors available for consultation.  Our Sports Medicine Doctors treat all manner of musculoskeletal injuries whether a sporting injury, a workplace injury or a life injury!  Their goal is to improve your performance no matter what your level of activity is! Investigations can be ordered and referrals to physiotherapists, myotherapists, podiatrists or exercise physiologists organised if required.  The Melbourne Sports Medicine Centre also has Sports Physician Registrars available for consultation.  They are experienced Sports Medicine Doctors who are also undergoing Sports Physician training.

Philip founded Midtown Medical Clinic in 1988 and co-founded The Melbourne Sports Medicine Centre in 1993.

James McLaren is a sports doctor, aligned with the Australasian College of Sports Physicians.  Since graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Otago University in New Zealand in 2009, James spent a number of years working as an emergency doctor, and also has experience in anaesthetics and intensive care.

Zee received his medical degree from Monash University in 2003 and has also completed a Masters of Public Health and Tropical Medicine through James Cook University. He worked in the hospital system for many years mainly in a major emergency department before switching to General Practice training.
