COVID Vaccination

Our co-located Midtown Medical Clinic is currently providing PFIZER (adult) and PFIZER (child) (age 5 – 11 years), MODERNA (adult) and MODERNA (child) (age 6 – 11 years), NOVAVAX and  ASTRA ZENECA COVID-19 vaccines.

We are currently providing vaccines during dedicated vaccination clinics and individual appointments with selected Doctors and our Nurses.

You can book for all COVID vaccines with selected practitioners and our vaccination clinic via this link.

It is now recommended that adults aged 50 years and above receive a winter booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

Adults aged 30 to 49 years can elect to receive a winter booster dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, however the benefit for people in this age group is less clear.

The interval recommended between the first booster dose (or recent COVID-19 infection) and a winter booster dose is now 3 months.

The winter booster will be the fourth dose for many people, but the fifth dose for those who required three doses in their primary course.

Everyone aged 16 years and over can book for their regular COVID-vaccine booster.  The current recommended booster is Pfizer or Moderna (even if your first and second doses were AstraZeneca) and it must be at least three months after your second dose or the third dose in your primary course if you meet the above criteria.  For those aged 16 and 17 yeas of age, the only recommended booster at this stage is Pfizer.

This three month recommended interval may be shortened for those with a greater risk of severe COVID-19 in outbreak settings and for those who are travelling overseas and will be away when their booster dose in due.  If this applies to you, please phone us on 9650 9372 so we can arrange your appointment.

When booking online for either any of the COVID-19 vaccines, a consent form must be completed at the time of booking.  A consent form must be completed for all doses, including the booster.  Each consent form will be securely sent to us to import directly into your medical file.  The consent form is quite detailed and is designed to contain all information for your COVID vaccination provider to refer to.

Also please note that if you do not have a Medicare card, you are unable to be vaccinated at a General Practice.  You can call the COVID hotline on 1800 675 398 who will advise which Vaccination Hub you can attend.

While you are waiting to receive your vaccine, please ensure you stay safe by:

  • wearing a mask where required
  • practising good hygiene
  • maintaining physical distance
  • staying home if you are unwell and get tested

Also please DO NOT ATTEND any vaccination clinic or hub if you have any cold, flu or infectious symptoms.  Please cancel your appointment and rebook.

If you have symptoms, please get tested and stay home while awaiting the result.

Both flu vaccines and COVID vaccines can be administered at the same time.  It is highly recommended that everyone be vaccinated again the flu this year.   Please see our flu vaccine page for more information.

Please contact us on 9650 9372 if you have any questions at all about COVID-19 or the vaccines.

We are here to help!
