Remedial Massage and Myotherapy
We have both Remedial Masseurs and Myotherapists working at The Melbourne Sports Medicine Centre.

Remedial Massage and Myotherapy
Sitting in an office chair working at a computer all day can be detrimental to the shoulder and neck muscles, not to mention the lower back region. Remaining in a static position causes muscles to fatigue and tense up which leads to muscular stiffness, headaches and backache; as well as referred symptoms in arms and hands such as tingling, numbness or a feeling of tiredness or heaviness. Remedial massage can help to prevent these symptoms from occurring and help treat them if they are already present.

Sports Massage
Whether you are a recreational sports person or a serious athlete, your muscles will suffer side effects from exercise at one time or another. The accumulation of lactic acid and subsequent associated muscle stiffness and fatigue is further exacerbated when you spend most of the day at a desk.  A deep tissue massage is the perfect treatment.

Relaxation Massage
We all have stress in our lives relating to work, family, environment and society.  Mental tensions, frustration and insecurity are among the most damaging. Affected by stress, the heart works harder, muscles tense up, breathing can become rapid and shallow - all body processes are degraded. Work stress is the most common complaint amongst city workers.  A relaxation massage can certainly help relieve some of the stress.

To book a massage please phone 9650 9372.  Advise reception staff who you would like to see and if you would like your massage to be 30, 45 or 60 minutes.
